Morning After Pill:

  • Also known as “Plan B” or Emergency Contraception

  • Used to prevent pregnancy after having unprotected sexual intercourse 

  • Recommended to consume Morning After Pill within 3 to 5 days after unprotected sex 

  • That being said, do take them sooner rather than later to render its optimal effectiveness at preventing pregnancy

Oral Contraceptive Pill (OCP):

  • Oral tablet 

  • Prevents the release of egges from the ovaries 

  • 98 to 99% effectiveness if taken correctly and compliant 

  • Also lessens menstrual crams and regulate periods 

  • Also used in acne management 

  • Reduces risks of developing endometrial and ovarian cancer

Depo Provera Injection:

  • An injection in the gluteal region (buttock) or the arm 

  • 98 to 99% effectiveness 

  • Once every 3 months 

  • Very convenient and an effective way for contraception

  • Reduces the risks of developing endometrial cancer
